If I found hieroglyphics in a wall and I want to date them, what type of dating would I use???

You could try cultural dating..if the hieroglyphics have a date then use absolute dating and if there is no date you could use relative dating. Lastly you could try to see if the area has oral tradition about what people wrote in hieroglyphics.
